Designation

Production Engineer
Job Description

* Direct and coordinate production, processing, distribution, and marketing activities of industrial organization.
* Develop budgets and approve expenditures for supplies, materials, and human resources, ensuring that materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
* Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constrains.
* Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
* Hire, train evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personnel grievances.
* Initiate and coordinate inventory and cost control programs.
* Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.
* Set and monitor product standards, examining samples of raw products or directing testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality.
* Develop and implement production tracking and quality tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational reports, to detect production problems.
* Review plans and confer with research and support staff to develop new products and processes.
* Well known about Design / engineering of equipments like pressure vessels, tanks, reactors, heat exchangers, ACHE etc. review of enquiry specification, preparation, review of quotes, review of drawings, etc.

Desired Profile
Graduate Mechanical Engineer / Diploma Mechanical, from reputed Engineering College, having experience in detailed engineering design of Pressure Vessels for Oil Refineries, Petrochemical plants, Chemical and Gas plants.

Experience in carrying out mechanical design of static equipments such as heat exchangers, pressure vessels, storage tanks in accordance with ASME “U” stamp requirements. Familiarity with software like PV Elite, CoadeCal as a minimum requirement. Codes like ASME, TEMA, PED 5500, API 650 / 620 is essential. Experience in Finite Element Analysis would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities :

* Process, control and monitoring procurement/payment
* Vendor management
* Support daily activity of purchasing dept ( Export – Import )
* Ability to quickly able to adapt and understand the company’s basic purchasing / Export – Import system and procedures.
* Involve in co-ordination of the procurement function due to the company policy and procedures.
* Ability to focus on process improvement initiatives to streamline purchasing department activities.
* Continuous follow-up with assigned supplier accounts.
* Plan, organize, and control procurement activities in assigned business unit(s) and report to Procurement Head;
* Conduct detail business analysis, forecasting, and modeling in order to devise innovative approaches to reconcile the gap between user needs, cost efficiency, and supplier performance;
* Organize and control the Supervisors, Buyers, and Expeditors in reviewing a wide variety of requisitions and sourcing potential vendors, reviewing bid proposals from vendors and making recommendation; and following up with vendors on goods delivery;
* Evaluate vendors’ performance;
* Ensure that records of purchased items, cost, delivery, performance and inventory are well maintained.

Requirements:

* English: fluent both written and spoken
* Industry: Mechanical preferred (due to knowledge of suppliers and processes), Oil and Gas/ Power/Infrastructure/Energy etc.)
* Years in procurement: minimum 2 years
* Education: Major in Accounting, Administration or Engineering
* Background built in multinational companies ( Mechanical )
* Integrity, Good Working ethics, Good references
* Experience with importation process and custom clearance
