I.CONSTRUCTION MANAGER – INDONESIA
Key purpose:
•The Construction Managers will be responsible to the Lead Project Manager / Project Manager for delivery of allocated projects during construction period.
Key accountabilities:
•Reports internally to Project Manager and assists them in meeting at client’s engineering and stakeholder’s level.
•Manages the Pre-Construction review meetings with contractor. Provides required advice on design issues arising during construction
•Collates and forwards data for entry into SKM reporting systems.
•Prepares weekly reports on time, cost and HSSE for the Project Manager.
•Supports the project Managers in his requirement to review site safety plans and JSA’s, carries out safety inspections during construction, document findings and implements recommendations for improvement. Where safety standards are not compliant takes strong measures to achieve compliance.
•Reviews construction schedules, monitors and reports on the progress of work to the project manager.
•Reviews contract security and insurances, superintends contract including certifying payments, authorising extension of time and variations (under designation), managing provision of design information to clarify documentation.
•Organises and participates in site meetings, reviews inspection schedule, completes inspection and checklists and witnesses commissioning testing of systems.
•Inspects site with Client’s Engineering, sales and stakeholders, completes inspection checklist and co-ordinates rectification of defects.
•Co-ordinates authority approvals, obtain ‘as built’ drawings and essential services information for the project managers to issue the certificate of practical completion.
•Undertakes regular and planned training modules required by SKM’s competency program. The program will include safety management, design standards application, construction quality, program scheduling and control, contractor influencing and authority communications.

•Each Job on the program has a safety responsibility – for some it will simply be to act safely oneself, for others it will be to ensure safety of those supervised, and for others there will be a specific responsibility associated with job outcomes e.g. ensuring that design work includes appropriate safety standards, specific project safety responsibilities etc. As well each employee is expected to demonstrate safety, health and environmental awareness and concern.

For Pumps & Pipelines Design Engineers. Hydraulic design of pipelines, pumping systems and detailed design of pipelines. Additional knowledge in water hammer analysis using computer aided program i.e. WATHAM / HYTRAN would be an added advantage.
For Hydraulic Modellers. Experience in hydraulic modelling for water supply and sewerage systems by using INFOWORKS WS/CS, MOUSE, etc. Additional experience in NRW & leakage studies using Bentley Water CAD & Water GEMS would be desirable.
For Flood Modellers. Experience using MIKE11 / MIKE21 for hydrology and channel & flood plain risk assessment, and also for sediment modelling. Experience in using GIS packages for terrain data would also be desirable.
For Groundwater Modellers. Experience in groundwater flow modelling using MODFLOW and FEFLOW.
For Air Dispersion Modellers. Experience in air dispersion modelling using AERMOD, CALPUFF, US EPA, etc. Also, experience in using CALMET – meteorologist met processor for CALPUFF & TAPM – the air pollution model.
For Hydrodynamic Modellers. Experience in sea outfall and sediment modelling from dredging using MIKE21 or Delft3D. Experience in flow and water modelling using Delftflow 3.01 and Delftwaq 3.01 would also be useful.
For Structural Design Engineers. Design of reinforced concrete structures for water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, pumping stations, river intakes, etc. Strong structural analysis skills and familiarity with computer aided programs in STAAD-PRO / PROKON / ESTEEM, etc. would be an added advantage.
For Mechanical & Electrical Engineers. Design experience in mechanical and electrical works for water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, river intakes, etc.
You will need to have proven experience in the consultancy or design of the above mentioned type of works. Successful candidates should have good understanding of working in a multi-discipline environment and managing a drafting team in delivering drawings. Degree qualified in Civil / Structural/ Environmental / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or other related qualifications.
